All of my Danes have
very gentle dispositions and are highly intelligent, wonderful family
dogs. I have studied "everything Dane" since I was a kid and owned
them since High School, but I did not have the foundation to begin
breeding until about 12 years ago. We live in North Little Rock ,
Arkansas , close to my parents and my sister (and her husband and my two
little nephews). My Danes love and are loved by all!
My Danes are from much
larger, healthier lines than the typical American ones, and have
fabulous temperaments.
Please tell me about your
family/pets, where you live, your history with
Danes, and the ideal "dream" Dane for you.
I prefer to place pups in
companion-only homes with limited registration, except a few close
enough for consideration in my supervised/assisted breeding program
option. None of my Danes have ever been a "kennel dog" a "puppy mill
dog", or a yard ornament... they are interactive family companions and I
intend to keep it that way (so do they!).
I accept deposits to
reserve puppies as soon as the litters are born. I will fill requests
for a particular color and sex in the order that the deposits are
received. I am just as particular about finding perfect homes for them
as all of the prospective new parents are about finding the perfect pup!
My Danes are well socialized to every imaginable situation and the
puppies are socialized and loved by all of my family and immediate
friends... but I do not recommend taking them places or letting lots of
people handle them until after they have had at
least their second shots at 9 weeks (and preferably their third shots at
12 weeks).
They are just infants before then and are not ready for the wide world
anyway, just the love and support of those close to them. They are very
well adjusted and ready to meet and love new families when they leave
here. I am a huge
advocate of puppy school at 12-16 weeks! Basic obedience and
socialization at that age is very important for them to develop into
polite and well-mannered members of the family.
I have been
fortunate enough for the new owners to drive from
as far as Northern California and New York to
come and pick their puppies up. But, if that's not
an option, I find the shortest flight possible and
ship them as soon as possible after 8 weeks, since
they are quite large already and getting bigger every day. The total
cost of shipping is usually around $300.
